A Logo Lemon for the London Olympics?

Logos are difficult to create, especially good ones. No where is this more evident than the logo for the 2012 Olympics in London. Sebastian Coe unveiled the thing in the morning and by lunch time a petition with 8,000+ signatures has been signed. Many are outraged at the £400,000 price tag.
